Coronavirus: Poetry

Facebook, Watts App, Houseparty,

Any App, it doesn't matter,

They all allow some contact,

With family, friends, endless chatter.

Grandchildren's kisses

And smiles from a distance,

Watching life continue,

In our four-walled existence.

Staying Home, Self-Distancing,

New terms heard every day,

To keep us safe and well,

To keep the virus well away.

The Covid-19 challenge,

A growing world pandemic,

Frightening and threatening,

Making thousands sick.

Rules and regulations,

Control our daily lives,

Keeping others safe from

Those quarantined inside.

The paradox is simple,

Keep apart, self-isolate,

To work as a community,

So all of us are safe.
