Novel

Rosie's Gift

Rosie's gift leads her family and their friends through their normal lives, relationships and daily dramas, from the 1960s to the 1980s. But what use is her gift, if it can't save the ones she loves?

When a dead body is found buried in the grounds of a Tuscan villa where her parents once stayed, her father becomes the main suspect. Can Gina, a young Italian policewoman, help Rosie find out what really happened?

Memories of Murder

The sequel to Rosie's Gift took three years to complete, with much of that time spent writing poetry through the emotional years of the pandemic instead.

Much more of a murder mystery than the first book, it follows Rosie, her family and friends through their lives in a complex psychological thriller.

Life's Journey Through Poetry

Bev's first poetry book. Browsing through poems written over twenty years or so, like looking back through old photographs, she found herself pulled into forgotten memories. She arranged them chronologically, adding new poems inspired by the birth of her granddaughter to complete the collection.

Personal and emotive, and written in a range of styles, it was the book that came before the novels, and the one that gave her the confidence to publish.

Moments & Memories Through Poetry

Her second poetry book, continues to reflect on her experiences of life, in a range of styles.

It gathers poems written across her childhood, teenage years and adulthood, a reflective journey through life with a poem for everyone. Several have gone on to inspire paintings of their own. See the illustrated poems below.

About the author

Beverley Joughin-Robson enjoys writing both stories and poems. Although her writing evolves from her own experiences, she hopes her characters and emotive poems will reflect the lives of others, and relate to those who read her work.

Illustrations of my poems

Bev has been illustrating poems from both collections, turning favourite verses into original watercolours, among them 'The Memory' from Life's Journey Through Poetry. If a particular poem speaks to you, let her know and she'll illustrate it for you.

They make lovely, personal presents, and a small selection of original watercolours are also available in the shop.
